Çalık Group’s subsidiary Eagle Mobile is shooting its new advertising campaign in Istanbul. Eagle Mobile, target to be number one in Albanian GSM sector with its innovative services, is bringing Albanian-American Hollywood star James Belushi, company’s advertisement face since 2009, to Turkey.
Çalık Group’s successful affiliate Eagle Mobile, is working with American actor James Belushi for its corporate advertisement campaign. Albanian-American Hollywood star James Belushi is known to be a big fan of Istanbul. The actor is well recognized all around the world with his movies and sitcoms such as ‘Red Heat’, ‘K9’, ‘According to Jim’ and is greatly admired in his homeland Albania.
Albanian people have shown big interest in Eagle Mobile Advertisements with Belushi. Regarding the advertisements of Eagle Mobile, Albanian Ministry of Culture and Tourism has also extended their gratitude as the ads have supported tourism in Albania.

At the press meeting James Belushi was accompanied by Eagle Mobile Chief Sales & Marketing Officer Mr. Orkunt Yozgat and Eagle Mobile CEO Mr. Ali Taşkın, in Istanbul. In the press meeting, Mr. Taşkın said “the advertisement campaign we have done with Belushi has attracted great attention in Albania, Europe and in the USA as well. Within the last two years Eagle Mobile reached to 680 thousand subscribers, in 3.2 million populated Albania. Eagle mobile has invested more than 50 million euro in Albania and by introducing 3G technology in near future we aim to be the leader in the market.” Mr. Taşkın also indicated that innovative and high quality services offered by Eagle Mobile made a great contribution to their success and this success will increasingly continue with their advertisement campaign. Mr. Taşkın said “Despite the economic distress occurred in Albanian economy in 2010, as Eagle Mobile we continue to increase our revenue and number of subscribers. Within the last two years we increased our market share to 15% in customer base and 10% in revenue base. Shortly after Eagle mobile entered the market it has ended the monopoly. Now we are in the position to offer the most innovative services with the most reasonable prices. We describe 2010 as the “big competition year”.
