Honored by the Japanese Government with the “Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon”, Ahmet Çalık, the Chairman of Çalık Holding, met with valuable representatives of the Japanese business world, which he has been working with for more than 30 years, in the event held in Tokyo.
Honored with “Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon”, the highest state order of Japan with a ceremony held in Istanbul last July, Ahmet Çalık, the Chairman of Çalık Holding, met with the Japanese business world at an event held on the occasion of the order in Tokyo.
Murat Mercan, the Ambassador of Turkey to Japan, Akio Miyajima, the Ambassador of Japan to Turkey, Isao Iijima, the Advisor of Cabinet of Japan, senior executives from Japan including Yasuo Nakayama, the Chairman of SECOM, Atsushi Maekawa, the President and CEO of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group, and Takehiko Kakiuchi, the President and CEO of Mitsubishi Corporation, ambassadors, executives and members of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), senior executives of organizations such as JBIC, JICA and Hitachi, as well as business partners of Çalık Holding in Japan, leading representatives of the Japanese business world and potential investors showed a great interest to the event held at the building of the Japanese Business Federation (Keidanren).
In his speech at the ceremony, Ahmet Çalık, the Chairman of Çalık Holding said, “I consider the “Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon” bestowed to me by the Japanese Government as a valuable indicator of the deep friendship of Turkey and Japan, as well as the successful cooperation of the Turkish and Japanese companies. I will carry this meaningful order with a great pride in my life.”
Stating that their partnership with the Japanese companies dates back to the 1990s and that they have experienced a cooperation course full of mutual respect and dedication for more than 30 years, Çalık emphasized that the Japanese business world had a great share in him receiving this award and thanked everyone who contributed to this. Çalık also added that he wholeheartedly believes that a greater successes will be achieved with the will of the senior management of Mitsubishi Corporation and with the support of Japanese credit institutions.
