Banka Kombëtare Tregtare (BKT) was selected as "The Bank of the Year in Albania for 2019” by "The Banker", the world’s premier banking and finance resource, providing global financial intelligence since 1926. The awards gala dinner Regarded as the industry standard for banking excellence, was held in London on November 28th, 2019.
During his acceptance speech Mehmet Usta, chairman of BKT, stated: “We are delighted and honored to receive this award, for the tenth time from “The Banker”. This award, is an indication of our steady progress towards our goal of qualified and sustainable growth. I sincerely thank all the internal and external stakeholders who are directly or indirectly involved in the making and functioning of our company.”
BKT Board Member and General Manager Seyhan Pencablıgil, added that: “This award is a token to BKT’s staff for all the efforts they put in and all the motivation and trust that they show towards us. Without them we wouldn’t be standing here, holding this bracket. BKT will continue its efforts towards digitalization and financial inclusion and we look forward to also being the role model about referring our customers towards alternative banking channels. By having this award in our cabin, we all would be more self-motivated for doing our best.”
With “The Banker”s,“Bank of the year in Albania” award the number of awards received by BKT in this field has increased to four. This year, “Global Finance”, “Euromoney” and “EMEA Finance have all acknowledged BKT as “The Best Bank in Albania”.
